The Orchids – John Scally, Chris Quinn, James Hackett, Matthew Drummond and James Moody –formed in Penilee, a south-western suburb of Glasgow, in 1985. Their first release, From This Day, was a flexidisc on the Sha-la-la label; this was followed by 6 singles and 3 albums on Sarah Records. The band reformed in 2004 and went on to release albums on the Siesta, Pebble and Acuarela labels. ... more
